Things change fast in Dili, and service providers don’t always prioritize consumer information. That’s why Dili Guide generally does not list contact info or exact locations for businesses. Google Maps listings are usually accurate – let common sense guide you – and often include reviews. Many establishments have a Facebook presence. (Thought Facebook was obsolete? Get an account before you move to the island.)

Some seemingly prominent destinations have little to no online info. This means if you want the number for, say, the Tutuala Pousada (amazing views! see below) for your Jaco weekend, you’ll probably have to work your connections to find it. Or, if all else fails, post a query on one of the Dili Expat social media groups – that’s right, Facebook again.
